@mullet1971 wrote: Good morning, I am interested in the Touareg but have a few questions. Does it have a US emissions compliance sticker on it allowing it to be imported into the United States? Were the engine or transmission rebuilt during the upgrades or just the performance parts added along with new gaskets and seals? Does the transmission have any upgrades to help with the extra power? Thanks, Tim

Hi Tim the car is originally a US spec car so should have no issues passing what ever safeties it requires to get into the US, but I know each state is different.

When we went from stage 1 – stage 3 the engine was overhauled, rod bearings replaced, cams replaced, subframe sand blasted and powder coated, all gaskets were replaced. No corners were cut during the upgrade

The valve body was replaced at 227,000 KM, as well as the transfer case and rear diff service.
The front differential also had the bearings replaced in it with fresh fluid.

@psygmorchis WROTE: Hi there, just wondering if you have any idea how hard it will be to get this registered here in the states?? I’m in Fla. right now but live in Plattsburgh, NY. Thanks, Richard

hey richard, the car is originally from the US so it should have no issues passing US safeties, it still has an american spec cluster in it
