Vehicles in 2nd Gear have either not met the seller’s reserve price during a regular ShiftGate auction or are simply a For Sale offering. In 2nd Gear we give a buyer the opportunity to submit an offer in excess of the last highest bid. Offers placed via the ‘Make Offer’ button are presented to the seller and will remain active for 24 hours. The seller can accept or decline the offer immediately. The offer will automatically expire after 24 hours if no action is taken by the seller. In addition, vehicles are also available for immediate purchase by clicking on the ‘Buy Now’ button.
