History
The X308 Chassis upheld the long-established merits of the storied model and was introduced in 1997 as an update of the Ford developed X300. The newly refreshed XJ retained the low, long, and lean styling elements of its predecessors, but received a number of exterior and interior refinements. Most importantly, this was the first four-door Jaguar model to be fitted with the newly developed AJ-V8, and within the XJR, the motor featured an Eaton supercharger for additional urge. More than ample power allows for tire-scorching performance and solidifies the time-honored tenets of the Jaguar brand: Grace, Pace, and Space.
Rarest of all the R-badged performance models were the XJR-100 models manufactured to celebrate the centenary of Jaguar’s founder, Sir William Lyons. These 500 examples featured a number of special details to separate them from the more standard ranks of XJs at an additional cost of $7,000.
This Jaguar was delivered to and has remained in Quebec, Canada from new. In its 19 years within the Province, a yearly average of 5,500km has resulted in the roughly 106,000km now present on the odometer.
