Sparkles Like the Night Sky

As seen in the gallery, this 1999 Dyna Wide Glide has a spectacular custom paint job on the fuel tank, fenders, and hard saddle bags. Black with a tremendous amount of metallic flake, the owner, notes it sparkles like the night sky in person.

Stored in a temperature-controlled garage since day one and never driven in the rain, the condition of this Wide Glide looks to be excellent. Per the owner, it has never been in an accident, and there is no rust present on the bike.

Loaded with shimmering chrome, it is a seriously sharp Harley. Features include a windshield and stepped two-up seat with a sissy bar and backrest. The original alarm has been removed.

New chrome laced wheels have been installed, 21” up front and 16” out back, and are shod in new Shinko rubber. They frame a single cross-drilled rotor up front and a solid rotor out back.

Dig Those Drag Pipes

The original rubber-mounted Twin-Cam 88 V-Twin engine is retained and has been kept completely in stock. It pairs with a five-speed manual transmission to spin the rear wheel via a drive belt.

The stock carburetor has been upgraded with a bigger jet to accommodate the side-slash drag pipes that have small custom baffles. They serve to trim sound by about one-third per the owner.

Under current ownership, this Wide Glide has been fitted with a new air cleaner kit from American Classic Motors, new ignition wires, new throttle cables, and all new bolts.

The first owner had the bike serviced at Harley-Davidson dealers, while the current owner has performed all maintenance personally. In September of this year, a comprehensive service covered the oil, primary, transmission, and spark plugs. There are no known issues.
