Killer Wedge Profile
These cars were produced exclusively in a Bright White finish with a Bright Blue center stripe running front to back. The stripe is led by a Firebird decal up front and transitions to black at the edges. Aside from minor scuffing on the rear bumper, overall exterior condition looks to be excellent.
Composite material is used on the doors, front fenders, fascias, roof, rear deck lid, and spoiler. Features include those distinctive centered fog lamps and pop-up headlights, which are shown raised and lowered in the gallery. The hood features dual vents and that glorious rear spoiler stands tall, lending this Trans Am a killer wedge profile.
Lightweight aluminum alloys, unique to this car, are 16 x 8” all around with blue Trans Am 25th center caps. They are in very good condition overall with curb rash and scuffs highlighted in the gallery. Hankook Ventus V2 rubber, sized 245/50 at all four corners, is fitted and looks to have plenty of tread left. Factory equipment includes disc brakes with ABS.
Up top, the tinted T-tops are shown both installed and removed along with photos documenting the seals. Other highlights include 25th Anniversary badging on the doors, dual-twin stainless steel exhaust outlets, and an exceptionally clean undercarriage.
There is no history of paint or bodywork and per the seller, no rust present on the vehicle.
Seriously Clean Cabin
Matching the exterior, the cabin on this 25th Anniversary Trans Am is trimmed with white Prado leather on the door panels and seats. Those seats feature perforated inserts with 25th Trans Am embroidered on the back rests up front.
The front buckets show light side bolster wear along with staining along the lower side where the leather meets the black frame. Both rear seats look to be in great condition, all the more remarkable considering the color.
Door panels use the same white Prado leather for inserts with embroidered 25th Anniversary logos and appear to be in excellent shape on both sides. The same can be said of surfaces throughout the cabin, including switchgear graphics which are crisp across the board.
The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames analog instrumentation including gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level along with a 155-mph speedometer and 7,000-rpm tachometer. The odometer shows just 28,952 original miles.
Amenities include a tilt-adjustable steering column, power accessories, cruise control, air conditioning, and leather wrapping for the shifter and emergency brake. Per the owner, the aftermarket JVC head unit – with CD player, USB and aux port – is the only non-original item on the car.
Classic V8 Power
The original 5.7L LT1 V8 is mounted up front, paired with a four-speed automatic spinning the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential with a 3.23:1 final ratio. Featuring aluminum heads and sequential-port fuel injection, this powertrain made 275 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque when new, good for a 6.6-second sprint to 60 in period testing.
Additional factory equipment includes an engine oil cooler, traction control, and the ability to swap transmission settings to Normal or Performance using a console-mounted switch. Aside from spots of deterioration on the hood insulation, the engine bay is extremely clean and tidy.
Between March and June of this year, the current owner had the rear shocks, battery, serpentine belt, air conditioning compressor, and engine oil and filter all replaced by a local shop. Additionally, the headliner has been replaced. Receipts for this work will be included with the sale.
Once Cool Firebird
Located in Land O’Lakes, Florida, this 1994 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 25th Anniversary has been with the current owner for the past six months. In that time, 500 of the original 28,952 miles have been added. The seller purchased the car from its original owner in Illinois.
A Firebird Trans Am is the kind of cool car that brings a smile to the face of enthusiasts everywhere and the wonderful V8 burble is hard to beat. Considering the pristine condition, long-term ownership, and untouched mechanicals of today’s 25th Anniversary model, this is a car ready to keep delivering Pontiac’s unique brand of excitement.
