History
TVR introduced the M-series for 1972, 1979 seeing the last TVR M roll off the line. The M-series consisted of the 1600M, 2500M, 3000M, 3000S, and Taimar, the latter three of which would also be offered in turbocharged variants. Interestingly, the 2500M was often regarded as the purest, smoothest of the breed, offering spectacular revs and balance, and an exhaust note rivaled only by cars costing considerably more money. For those seeking absolute insanity, the USA importer for TVR created a 5000M by installing a 5.0L V8 engine. While this car would prove merciless acceleration, many noted the front-heavy weight bias made it tricky in turns and curves. It’s agreed that less than 2,500 M-series TVRs were built between 1972 and 1979, making them rare gems in the sportscar world. This 2500M has been with the seller for 36 months and undergone a rotisserie restoration emerging with a 4.0L Rover V8 engine, five-speed manual transmission, refreshed interior, and medium-dark blue paint.
